Draught Small yellow even head, leaving lacerings over veiled orange-amber beer. Very obvious fresh maltnose, greeenmalts, touches of ambrée. Taste very consistent with the nose: malts slightly toasted, slightly green, and just ahint of hops. Starts maltsweet(ish), then grassy, to neutral not-quite-bitterish. Peanuts flavour retronasaal. Medium bodied at best, light grist slickness. Pleasing amber beer, but a bit plain "ale"-like to be a typical Bock.

Bottle at Pilsner Pete’s RBSG courtesy of Brian. Dark brownish black pour. Nose is very nice espresso beans, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is very similar to the nose. The beans really shine. Body is a little thinner than I would have expected with the abv, but this is a terrific beer.

Bottle at Pilsner Pete’s RBSG courtesy of Brian. Pours black. Nose is massive amounts of chocolate and mocha. Some other undertones I can’t quite place. Taste is very smooth chocolate, grain and lightly smoked oak.

Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s RBSG 2010 thanks to Brian from 12% imports. One of the smoother smoked ales I’ve had. Pours dark amber/brown. Nose is smoked meats, burnt wood and campfire embers. Taste is like mild barbecue, lots of smoke, a little ham (is that possible?), muted bitterness and roasted barley.

Hi Joris! Thanks for your talk at the pre-ZBF, I enjoyed it. Draught at Churcjkey. Copper color, huge off white head, solid lacing. Aroma of crispy bacon. Taste is barbecued baby back ribs and citrus, slight sour edge. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours black with a low tan head. Nice slightly tarry aroma of dark burnt malt. Cofffe. Full and thick in body. Mild carbonation. Thick and sweet with lots of burnt malt bitter, and I think coffee. Finishes dark and bitter. Very palatable indeed.

Aroma: Nice hoppy nose, some fruitiness, some caramel
Appearance: Hazy amber colored beer
Flavor: Taste has some hop notes and some fruity notes
Palate: Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, drinks nicely
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really enjoyable beer, it had a nice mouthfeel and a pretty solid flavor profile as well. Good stuff.

30 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours dark and golden brown with a small head. Aroma is dark caramelish malty, breadish, slight butterish. Sweet malt flavoured, light herbal note and breadish roasted. Lasting sweet malt impression into the far finish. Slowly building bitterness.

Tasting at Papsø
Hazy amber color; medium sized head. Nice aroma of caramel, light toffee (well, butter), but then followed by vegetables. Sweet caramel flavor, a bit buttery, but mostly with vegetables; strong bitterness, and too high alcohol perception. Unprofessional.
