Bottle, St Albans Beer Festival 2005. Red/russet with beige head. Some good caramel, barley sugar aromas which carry on into the body of this beer. Quite drinkable. Bit too sweet but good spice/dry hop finish. Hop nose is quite subtle 3.4/5 malty oktoberfest beer. some nutty malt some white pepper fine

On draught live at the Oktoberfest: Pale golden coloured; not very long lasting white head; a mainly malt accented brew, little bitterness in the finish; soft and easy drinkable.........

Bottle: cloudy, orangey coloured, creamy mid-sized white head; slightly alcoholic nose, very shy traces of maltiness and yeast, too; slightly sweet fruity start, fizzy mouthfeel, very mild bitter flavour; ends slightly fruity and bitter; all in all a very discreet, refreshing brew. Not bad as an Ersatz-Weizen !

Bottle. Aroma has hint of banana. Cloudy caramel colour, small white head. Quite malty/diacetyl flavour. Some overripe banana. Quite flavourful for a wheat beer.

Bottle. Slightly farty aroma. Almost clear, golden colour. Small white head. Flavour is spicy, reminding me of Belgian yeast. Notes of clove. Slightly sweet. OK mouthfeel.

An orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also some perfumated notes mixes in. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as some dusty hop notes, that gives it a dry slightly bitter end.

A light yellow "beer" with a nice white head. Both the aroma and flavor are dominated by lemon, so it reminds me more of a lemon soda, than of a beer - and is rated as such.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, very orangey amber - almost no head. Malty, with a lightly tart, citrusy nose. Malty body with notes of yeast. Very discreet, dry hops in the finish. 100805 --- Beer merged from original tick of Kellerbier on 12 Dec 2024 at 15:51 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: Swing top bottle 50 cl. Not sure this beer is listed correctly, but my bottle is the one in the photo. Pours a cloudy, orangey golden with a small, off-white head. Malty, sweet aroma. Malty, sweet body with a carbonation to the low side. Faint floral hops and next to no bitterness. Straight, no fuss. 121224

Bottle Golden, low carbonation fooamy head. Slightly spicy malt aroma. Lightish malt body with a dry bitter finish, nut and marzipan aftertaste. Not terrible, but why put another anonymous Helles on the market?
