0.33l green bottle from the Gerhard Wimmer "EDEKA" in Jandelsbrunn. Shared with F&L at the tail end of the Mangled Ham 2026 Day 1 tasting. Clear golden body, fleeting white head. Minerally aroma, vague herbal hops, maybe traces of grainy maltiness and something floral. Dryish taste, herbal hoppiness, low bitterness, inoffensive, higher carbonation than the body and the taste it has warrant, but kinda works. Inoffensive, clean, I really don't mind this. Could probably go for 0.5l without any issues, but's not an option here for whatever traditional reason is (likely stemming from hating Czechs). Back to the point, this is definitely a good example of a South Bavarian pils, crisp, herbal-hoppy, dry,

Bottle that Marko picked up cheers Marko. Had this Friday 13th February moving into Saturday 14th February at the Manglham 2nd Winter Tasting listening to Snapped Ankles - Come Play the Trees. Jonas cooked Pasta Carbonara, it was fab'. Pours clear, sparkling gold with a large white sticky head. It's a bit eggy/Burton snatch on the nose. Clean, light bitterness, picks up eventually. Slightly dry on the back end. Score 7.0

Quite surprised to see that I hadn't rated this until now. Bottle picked up from the new Degenhart Getrankemarkt in Regen and consumed the same day, Tuesday 23rd December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. I making homemade Pork Pies and we're also making Lax Pudding and also Conchiglone Pasta stuffed with Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon. This is fairly straightforward but not too bad, looks good, clean mid gold with a large white head, however this head wasn't one for hanging around. A touching sweet, light background bitterness and hoppiness. It's okay actually I don't mind it at all. Score 6.4

Can. Clear, gold with a two finger head. Aroma of hay and grains. Taste is slightly sweet upfront, grains in the middle with a slight bitter finish.

Maybe tap, maybe bottle at Andorfer, thx Fin! Dull darker yellow-golden body. Minerally grainy perfumey aroma. Lean, dry, minerally taste, barely wheaty, okay at best.

At Anfordersbrau brewpub nr Passau Saturday 8th February 2025 in the company of Jonas, Ursula and Marko. Pours hazy murky yellow with a white head. Really not getting much of interest at all here, it's aa rather dull and lacklustre beer.

0.5l bottle from Edeka Pöschl in Freyung - camper beer no. 5. Paaaaale yellow body, off-white head. Bit hayish, grainy, lightly sulfury aroma, but in a good way. Soft taste, minerally, softly malty, vaguely sulfury, but well balanced, nice enough. Good stuff!
