500 ml bottle from a grocery store in Passau, Germany. Pours a crystal clear pale gold color with a large white head and excellent retention. Very good lacing. Standard pale malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Pretty standard pale malt flavor with only a hint of light bread flavor in the finish. Nothing unique, but a very good, smooth, clean, repeatable lager. Medium, body and medium-light soft carbonation. Not bitter. Well done.

500 ml bottle from a grocery store in Passau, Germany. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a large, bright white head and great retention. Great lacing too. Lots of streaming bubbles. Light pale malt aroma. Light pale malt flavor with a faint soft bready finish. Well made, but not quite as flavorful as other Helles beers I've had. Clean and crisp. Light body. Medium carbonation. Light bitterness.

Slightly hazy brown pour with a lasting white head. Malt, caramel, toffee, some more toast/bread, bit of orange/citrus. Not bad

Löwenbrauerei Passau Pils, Fläschchen von Edeka, Ruhstorf (wo die Siebenschläferkirche steht). - Hellgoldgelb, blank. - In der Nase leicht derbe, industriebierartig zitronenschalige Hopfung. - Im Antrunk banale zitronenschalige Hopfung über leicht teigigem hellen Malz mit zu deutlicher, zart plastikartiger Restsüße. Etwas milder rezent, schlank. Im Abgang platte zitronige Hopfenherbe. - Banales, generisch gehopftes Industriepils ohne Raffinesse, für süddeutsche Verhältnisse nur unterdurchschnittlich. Bottle picked up from Edeka, Passau and consumed at home Friday 23rd February 2024 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. We're cooking Chicken Jalfrezi shortly with Poppadoms and Aubergine Pickle. Pours chestnut in colour with a head that rapidly departed, malty with a little bit of a twang, soft mouthfeel with a light caramel touch. Fine but not exciting me.
