Catch up rating. Darker lager, edging towards dunkel. Brown with small beige head, some elements of roast grains, but not strong enough to stand out on their own. Somewhere between a German dunkel and the Danish sweet browns.

Catch up rating. I was expecting a schwarzbier or dunkel. Instead it is clear gold,, rocky layer of white suds, decent head overall. Aroma is pure lager, mostly grainy and a hint of hops. taste again is malt, grain, hops, finishes dry with a tangy/grainy/metallic aftertaste. Medium body, fine spritzy carbonation.

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Dark brown, no head. Raisin aroma. Sweet with light body and syrupy mouthfeel. Raisin and bread, saccharine. No bitterness. Very similar to a commercial svagdricka.

Appearance: Transparent black color with a creamy beige head that ends up in thin layer. Some lacing.
Aroma: Mild dark malt and some chocolate.
Palate: Medium body. Balanced sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Mild chocolate, malty, bready and some roasty notes.
Overall impression: I am becoming a vidtøl fan…..quite pleasant and easy drinkable this one.

A very nice label and a fine pour. Fine amber color with a fine off white head. Well then the trouble starts. Malty and alcohol in the nose. Medium body. Moderate sweet and some bitterness. Average carbonation. The flavor was as dull as the aroma. Gave it to my youngest son. He felt it was tasty….my goodness.

330 ml bottle. Another difficult to rate hvidtøl. Dark reddish brown, close to black body with a fast disappearing beige head. Aroma of weak roasted dark malt and lactose. Flavor is mainly sweet malt, low roast, no bitterness. A bit thin in body and sticky sweet aftertaste. It’s a typical beer for its style, but it’s not my style of beer.

[Thanks to 1st European Secret Santa]. Golden colour with a white head, moderate creamy with good lasting and medium lacework. Aroma has mainly metallic. Flavor is moderate malty with notes of moderate sweet notes and alcohol very uncompensated. Bittery and alcoholic final.
