500ml bottle. Ver nice, clear, deep orangey amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty, grassy hoppy overtones, delivering in combination a dry green apple note, hints of apple parings; eventually in the finish malty as expectable, even a cautious smoky touch remains on the tongue. Relatively light, not overly malt-accentuated, and easy drinkable for a Doppelbock.

Bottle @ Greg’s dump. Pours a light yellow appearance with a white head. Slightly lemony, dull sweet grainy, grassy aroma. Decent carbonation. Kind of chewy mouth feel. Twangy lemon flavor. Seems a touch old but not all that bad.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice creamy head. Starts mild, malty-yeasty, fruity like banana, some notes of apricot. Mild sweetish. Finish more malty. Okay.

Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a modest carbonation. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly leafy and mildly toasted malty and wheaty taste with notes of caramel, traces of chocolate and delicately fruity touch; slightly toasty and caramelly finish with a delicately sour-fruity touch. 29.V.14
