Bottle from Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Shared with Kinz, his wife and friend. Hazy dark brown body with a medium creamy light brown head and just a little bit of sediment. Sweet sugary caramel and wood aroma. Sweet fruity flavor, some light caramel and a very soft nutty ending.

Small yellow head, fast gone; dark orange colour, lot’s of UFO’s. Shoepolish, varnish, very uninviting - to put it mildly - nose. Tarry taste, phenols abound, on the verge of absurd. Long aftertaste, but if there’s some alcoholburn, it switches to a Lapsang Souchong quality, nearly saving the beer. Sorry, but the onslaught is too terrible to drink freely.

Good reddish tinted dark beer; yellow-brown head. Noga, stilled yoghort, wood & toffee; rubber and polish warming up. More wood in the nose, liquorice, and again a bit rubbery, petro-aromatic components. MF is very burning, full bodied with alcoholwarming. Not really convincing, faulty brew.

Small to no head; clear golden beer. Clear pepper; obvious with a lot of citrus, and half the peppermill - sneezing coming up. Dry taste with beeswaxed oakwood en pepper, displaying a shocking full taste despite the low gravity. Apt light body, not affecting anyway the taste. Good, original, great exercise.

Hazy, orange body. Very complex and overwhelming aroma of spices, liquor. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Quite some complexity in the flavour. Very nice beer!

Hazy amber; good off-white head. Nose with ginger, exotic spices, as African manioc root. Sweet-sour. Again very exotic taste, as entering a Chinese toko. Dried fish, dried mango, lots of ginger. God knows what else. Caramelised malts. A bit burning, slick, only medium bodied. Exotic it is. But I had it too warm by half.

[Bottled] Cloudy dark amber, very rich head. Strong herbal aroma, where I get mostly nutmeg and cardamom. Sweet and softly malty with full body. Evident flavour of burnt malt, notes of spun sugar. Think Anchor OSA, but bigger and softer.

[Draft at GBBF 2005] An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet spicy and the flavor is very spicy, primarily with notes of ginger. The end is dry.
