Cask @ Trackside, Bury. Darker clear chestnut-brown colour with a thick frothy head. It has a light malty nose, but it has a much more stated taste with some dry grainy malts that produce quite a nutty flavour that lingers in the palate a while.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear gold with no head. Aromas of caramel, not much else. Taste is sweet. Inoffensive.

Cask gravity at the Wandsworth beer fest preview night 26/03/14. Dark caramel colour with a greyish tan head. . aroma is chocolate raisin, slightly sweet wort. Flavour is nice chocolate raisin cake and low roast in the finish. Nicely put together. Could pass for a mild. Medium sweet palate. Slight grain tanin. Nice malt forward beer.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden orange and hazy with a decent head. Nose - delicate orange and biscuit. Taste - very unusual. A tangy sweet orange but without enough of either hoppy or biscuity freshness on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a sweet tangy texture and a cloying sweet finish. Overall - points for being interesting but then it lost me.

Bottle. Amber coloured with a very thin head. Has a pleasant fruity character with orange notes evident in both aroma and taste.

Cask at the Le Gothique’s Halloween Beer Festival 2013. Poured a dark ruby colour with a rocky beige head. Aroma was malty with dark fruit and acidic note. Nutty flavour again with slightly sharp tones and some caramel. Palate was more rounded with brown sugar, coffee and orange peal. Not sure if this was in top condition...
