Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/7/2017. Deep amber in colour, with a decent, white, head. Bready malts, slightly sour red berries, some leafy hops and moderately bitter finish. So so drinking.

Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2015, National Winter Ales Festival (2015), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As Dent Fellranger ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, butterscotch. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, fruity, butterscotch. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150211]

Cask at the Hampden Arms, Hampden, 17/04/16. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off white covering. Nose is light floral notes, grain, touch of citric peel, straw. Taste comprises light caramel, bready notes, lemon tingle, grass, floral trail. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light bitterings. Underwhelming golde.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - close to opaque black with some red/orange chinks. Nose - toffee and roasted stuff going on. Some tangy berries. Taste - burnt toffee, light chocolate. dry hazelnuts. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - I like this.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb and Stuu666. Pours clear dark brown with a thin white head. Aromas of chocolate, light roast. Taste is more chocolate, light roast bitter finish.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber red with a decent lacy head. Nose - burnt toffee and molasses. A bit earthy. Taste - more burnt toffee, some red fruits. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long tangy yet sweet finish. A bit thin. Overall - it’s a solid ale.
