Situated in picturesque Dentdale, our brewery is one of the most remote in the country. We have been crafting the finest ales since 1989 and all of the experience gained over the years really does make a difference. The uniqueness of using our own spring water combined with a plethora of passion and knowledge from our small, committed brewing team help us create beer that is truly special.

Pours dark brown almost black with a off-white to tan head. Aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate and leather. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a licorice, coffee finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Weekend, Jan 2011. Pours dark brown with small bubbles on top. Nose is mild roast, coffee and caramel. Smooth. Dry and bitter coffee end with a note of cold coffee. Nice.

Bottle 500ml.Clear light medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, toffee - fudge. 50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Golden amber with a ring of white head; the aroma has sweet apricots and some leafy hops; light dry malty taste with some butterscotch and perhaps a touch of citrus; and a dry finish.
