Cask at Alexanders pub in Kendal. Sampled June 2014. Pours light hazed gold with a white cap. Crisp, citrus, some gooseberry dryness, light tangy. Light to medium body with soft carbonation.

Cask @ 1887 Brew Room, Blackpool. Black with a light-brown off-white head. A full-bodied brew and healthy tasting with very worthy tasting roasted malts, which are much more stated in its aroma.

15/2/2020. Bottle from Booths, Kendal; sample courtesy of saxo and Rasmus40, cheers! Poured clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, stewed veg and potato starch. moderate sweetness and bitterness. Slight watery texture. Looked good, otherwise fair.
