500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb and Stuu666. Pours clear dark amber with a thin white head. Aromas of burnt dung, treacle, something sour. Appropriately named so far. Taste is marginally better, sweet finish.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - honey and malt bag. Taste - golden with a tangy orange but generally too sweet. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture and a finish that could be cleaner. Overall - doesn’t do very much.

500ml bottle from Booths, Windermere - Deep ruby red body, no head - shame. Nose comes through as strong cake fruits, lots of robust malts and a slight nuttiness there too. Taste is rather sweet at first, but pans out to a bitterness at the end. Fruity, bit of a kick of sharp citrus, and possibly a bit of burnt toast in there as well.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth with decent fine carbonation. Nice condition. Pretty sweet malts, mild cream and mild toffee. Tangy but sweetish dried fruits. Little candy fruits. Light semi dry finish. Pretty sweet but okay. And 4.5% is strong? Hello it’s not 1940 any more!

500ml bottle from Booths in Windermere - Opaque black with a slight tan head and no carbonation. Aroma of roasted malt, some toffee and a hint of creaminess. Surprisingly light mouth feel, with sweet flavours of dark fruit, chocolate and caramel, finishing off pleasantly dry with some warming alcohol.Went down a treat this one, nice surprise.
