Based in Long Marton, near Appleby, Tirril Brewery offers fine traditional ales, refreshingly crisp pilsners & a range of spirits. The first brew was delayed for a month, by the arrival of our daughter India. It turned out by chance that the current Tirril Brewery opened exactly 100 years after Siddle’s the last brewery in Tirril had closed….

Gravity cask at Beford CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Pours amber with a ruby tinge, beige foam. Aroma & taste: Malty, caramel, fruitcake, berries, wee sour note. Light to moderate sweet & bitter. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Keg at The Round, Keswick. Pale yellowy-gold with a white head and a light fizz. Gentle lemon flavour with an odd sharpness. Softish mouthfeel. It's ok at best.

Cask pint @ Brown Horse Inn, Winster, taken to our pod situated directly behind the pub. Clear copper brown, good white head. Pleasant enough toasted caramel malt character, gentle bitterness. Went well with BBQed cumberland sausage.

500ml bottle from beergb. Gluten Free. Deep golden colour, white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, grains, fruity, hops. Taste is tangy, malty, cereal, grainy, with fruity notes and citrusy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours clear cola brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of raisin and toffee. Taste adds liquorice. Thin finish.

Can from BeerGB. Appearance - deep brown to black. cola colour. Foamy, off white head. Nose - brown bread, toffee and raisin. Taste - burnt toffee, brown bread and burnt raisin. Palate - medium bodied, roasty, dry finish. Overall - good.

Rocky tan head left a creamy cover on a very dark brown body. Dandelion & Burdock, malt & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, creamy g smooth with a clean finish. Caramel, light malt, berries & sweet tangy citrus tastes. Actually tastes like Dandelion & Burdock! Good one.
