Black with thin head. Strong aroma of burnt malts and treacle. Also quite boozy and grassy. Fairly agressive carbonation is out of place. Burnt and bittersweet flavour. Roasted, boozy and warming.

Explosive gushing, even from the glass!! Ye gods. Muddy dark brown beer, half a meter of rustbrown foam. End of bottle UFO-laden. Chocolatey roasted malts, dark bread, Maillard-like, but sweetish. Bit of ashes. Dull-sweet, yeasty flavour. Again chocolatey, bit ganache-like. Well-bodied, yeast-filled, slick, velvety. When are they going their act right in Stasegem? It’s getting embarrassing.

750 ml bottle. Beautiful deep hazy orange, loads of cloudy white foam, dissipating slowly leaving some lacings. Aroma is citrus up-front, then more sweeter tones of bread, vort, again some sour notes of orange and wheat, some well executed yeasty complexity and a dry finish. Medium body, low carbo, soft and dry texture. Solid.

Bottle picked up at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie consumed at home Thursday 26th March 2015 Cloudy amber with a white fluffy head. Some candi sugar, with a spicy edge, in fact too sweet, caramel also and a bit of corn flake. The aroma has a rather industrial chemical taint. Not great. A4 A3 T4 P2 OV 8 2.1
