750 ml. Bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) Murky brown, little beige head. Nose is hugely vinous, tart, weird mix of sugar, light leaves,… Taste is sour, varnish, bark, sugar, leaves, odd cherries,… Low carbonation. I don’t get it, why is this sour? Infected? Not a fan.

750 ml. Bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) Murky brown, head only on the sides. Sweet basic sugar nose, vanilla, leaves & oxidation. Taste is bitter leaves, oatmeal, herbs, vanilla from the bourbon is low, basic sugar, dull. Tad murky body. I would expect a beer aged on Wild Turkey to be so much outspoken & interesting than this. At least it wasn’t sour like the Makers Mark version.
