375mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Tons of peat smoke and some dark malts on the nose. Flavour has a huge kick of peat smoke up front with a pretty solid malt base supporting it. Delivers peat with the subtelty of a sledgehammer and I'm here for it. I like this.

Bottle pour at the brewery. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Lots of old rotting wood and bugs on the nose. Flavour is quite dry and funky, lots of damp rotting wood, mildew. Fantastic.

[2023 Vintage] Bottle pour at the brewery. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Nose is funky and spicy with old wood. Flavour has lots of funk, mild acidity, super musty upholstery; gentle spice. Excellent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky ruddy orange with a white head. Nose is funky with musty currants and a nice herbal spiciness. Flavour has a big bitter hit from the spices that are well complemented by the currants and the funky yeast expression. Very nicely done.

Pale purple. Big cherry pie nose. Fresh, delicious cherry - again more in the pie direction the same was New Glarus Belgian Red goes - with great balance of tartness and buggy complexity.

Hazy. Nice head. Good red wine barrel on the nose, jumps right out. And it's even brighter on the palate. Soft, fruity, complex, great barrel character.
