Description
Blind Enthusiasm is driven by our passion for great beer and fine food. We brew three distinct types of beer at two locations in Edmonton. We brew crisp ales and lagers as well as complex barrel-aged beers at the Market, located alongside our restaurant, Biera. At The Monolith we’re running one of largest barrel-fermented beer programs in Canada.

Hazy, amber. The aroma is a bit odd. It's got a mild balsamic note that I'm not crazy about. Accents of young lambic, and I don't really get much for dry hop here.

Aug 12, 2025 (8/4/8/4/15=3.9): Poured from 750mL bottle (2023 vintage) @ Threefold (previously opened bottle). Hazy gold with small white head. Nice funky nose with feint barrel notes. Taste is same, but slightly more subdued, could be that it’s a pour from a previously opened bottle so likely has a touch of oxidation and loss of carbonation.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2025, pours a cloudy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of barnyard funk, lots of tangy dry-hopping, and a touch of citrus. Flavour is full of barnyard funk, tons of dry-hopping, and some citrusy. Lots of dry-hopping and citrus atop the real nice mix of bugs. Excellent.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2025, pours a cloudy dull golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is tannic and oaky, with lots of red wine tannins, lots of bugs, and a touch of hay. Flavour is full of red wine oak galore, lots of wild bugs, and hay. Really great bugginess and vinous oak. Excellent.

A reddish brown ale with a very thin light mocha head. In aroma, caramel malt with light grassy hops, light oxidation, light mineral notes, so-so. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, light nutty notes, light cereals, OK. Bottle from brewery, from 2022.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark red with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of pitted cherries, barnyard funk, and musty cherry skins. Flavour has a wonderful barnyard funk character, some cherry pie, and pitted cherry. Finishes dry, lightly funky, and perfectly blended. Excellent.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy rusted golden with a small white head. Aroma is fragrant, with tons of fresh juicy plums, moderate barnyard funk, and light mustiness. Flavour is really juicy, with tons of juicy plums, moderate barnyard funk, some light citric notes, and earthiness. Super juicy, nicely funky, just enough acidity. Excellent.

Nov 25, 2024 (7/4/7/4/16=3.8): Poured from 750mL bottle @ ABC beer share (with a lighter because the corkscrew broke off into the cork). Hazy yellow with small white head. Mild funk and oak, blends quite nicely, but prefer the 4 year version (Homage to the Old Ones). Still very nice.
