Description
Blind Enthusiasm is driven by our passion for great beer and fine food. We brew three distinct types of beer at two locations in Edmonton. We brew crisp ales and lagers as well as complex barrel-aged beers at the Market, located alongside our restaurant, Biera. At The Monolith we’re running one of largest barrel-fermented beer programs in Canada.

Tap at l’Hermitage. Bit hazy golden with generous white head. Bready malts, massive flowery hops, light citrus, more flowers and fresh dank wet meadow herbs, light hay, cow, dry caramel. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with crisp feel. Very unusual but not bad.

Tap at lermitage. Pours golden. Aroma is hoppy, carrots, vegetables, fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, dry, citrus, malt. Finish is dry. Overall: ok.

Sampled draft @ L'Union fait la Zwanze. Very hazy soggy grains, raw, bit vegetable, hay, malt, grass, oily, fair attempt but def not top. Also a Canadian brewery making a beer for a second division football team in Belgium is just weird. Likely an attempt to get attention by proxy of Cantillon’s presence there.

Tap at L'Union fait la Zwanze 2018 - not sure where to put it, the brewer called it a "crisp Lager", but it was definitely unclear. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is slightly vegetal, grassy, leafy, peas. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not great, but alright.

Draft - Nice orange citrus hops. Clear gold with a small white head. Light bitterness and some mellow citrus. Decent.

Draft - Light twig. Clearish copper with a decent white head. Light twig and a nice spicy bite. Caramel in the finish.

Draft - Loght banana and soft wheat. Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Soft banana and at ouch of citrus with a clean finish.
