Description
Founded in 1784 by Jean Baptiste De Bruin and still a family brewery to this day; known as Brouwerij Schelfaut until 1919, when the name was changed to Brouwerij Bios by Paul Van Steenberge, who became the head of the operation in 1922. Currently operated by his great-grandson Jef Versele (since 1998). Underwent many technical upgrades and expansions since then, most notably in 2017 when new buildings were installed and production capacity was significantly increased.

clear orange to amber colour, large, dense and long lasting ecru head; aroma of fruity (peachy, apricot jam and maybe apple peel, as well), grainy, floral and some grape-raisins notes; taste has similar notes to the aroma with some coriander and slight citric notes; really good one

Bottle at home from a Lidl bumper bundle. Lively pour and I ended up with crud in the glass. Very annoying. Anyway, too sweet for me. No bite. Not great.

Donker goudgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is warm krachtig, bitterzoet en fruitig met iets van abrikoos, banaan en wat sinaasappel. Voor mij een heel goede tripel die iets te hoog in alcohol is.

On draught at De Garre Brugge. Hazy gold colour. Lasting white head. Orange spice aroma. Its really quote orange led for a wit. Light spice. Light coriander. No soap. Really quite refreshing. Light. Good orange and tangerine flavours. Its rather lovely. Good lacing.
Oranges light ok but very light.

Bottle at home from a Lidl bumper fun bundle. Opened on a Saturday night having dropped middle child to a house party and all my driving was finished. Luckily the oldest agreed to pick her up. Anyway, great pour and aroma and taste and mouthfeel. This is just really good and the extreme alcohol was very well hidden.
