It's as good as I remember. Draft in a dark corner booth so it it just looks like a dark cola or root beer.
Sweet and hearty, sour and just a mellow good sipper.
Lots of dark fruit, cherries are most prominent up front, but as it sits I get a pretty distinct grape juice flavor. Pairs excellent with a chicken ceasar salad and tater tots.

0,33 enhet fra supermercado "Peter Store", nightcap på balconasen i Funchal: klar gylden med en misunnelsesverdig skumkrone som varer så lenge det trengs og vel så det. Fiken og andre tørkede frukter, hetvin, noe eik/vanilje, muscovadosukker og diskret urtebitterhet. Lang ettersmak med utpreget velvære.

Bottle from Jumbo. Darker, orangeish golden pour with a thick white head. Nose is big banana esters, quite sweet, boozy, a hint of vanilla somehow? Flavor is alcohol sweetness, some esters in there too, pale malts, a light to medium bitterness, to make it more drinkable. Carbonation is medium. Delivers the promises I guess but fairly unremarkable at the same time

Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig warm en bitterzoet met iets van sinaasappel, wat koriander en appel. Uitstekend bier.

Aroma is oaky, and woody. But very vinous, with dates and ripe plums. Silky mouth feel, light carb, medium bitter. Red wine, grapey, and pungent finish. Light acidity, and low tartness. Oaky, with warming spices and ripe fruit.

Bottle. Color: Clear copper, off-white head. Aroma: Caramel malt, fruity Cognac, raisins. Taste: Blend of fruity Cognac, raisins, caramel malt and hints of candy sugar. Light boozy hints. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, light to moderate bitterness. Quite nice.
