Opaque straw gold with a thick white head. Nice fruity hop bouquet, semi-dry bitter medium body with a bitter yet fruity hop flavor. I didn’t get anything tea like from my sample at all but it tasted fresh and nice.

Tap. Pours clear golden, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is dank, potty, mango, armpit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, mega dank. Medium body. Super good. 4,9,8,5,17

Shonan Beer HBC 438 IPA 6% IBU 45 Tap at Bungalow. Slight cloudy gold with a dense creamy white head of foam. The aroma is bright fresh orange blossoms while the medium bodied beer gives you a bitter creamsicle vibe. Tasty and well balanced. Sweet creamy Orange Julep type flavor, if that is from this experimental hop I’d say it is worth rushing into wide scale with production.

Tap at Takumiya. Herbal, minty nose, chamomile and peaches. Flavor i big chamomile (which I do not like), mint, pine. Weird hop, this one is. Very herbal and tons of nasty chamomile, and comes off as too sweet.

Tap at Takumiya. Deep orange, hazy, with lace. Nice citrus and stone fruit nose, oranges, biscuity malt. Sweet and biscuity, oranges, apricot, soft carbonation. Tasty. Nicely prickly, peppery finish.

Tap at Bungalow. 11% I believe! It was a mellow opaque gold with a wispy but long lasting head of foam. It’s got a nice stone fruit aroma (apricot jam) and is medium to full bodied. It’s a bit heavy/slick but at the high ABV. That is no surprise. It’s not boozy at all and is really quite smooth. It wasn’t boozy at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

medium amber color. Good citrusy and cotton candy nose. A touch sweet. Prickly hop character with an assault of pine, citrus, cotton candy and big resininess. Modestly sweet. What is very interesting is that it isn’t actually a malt bomb and drinks a tad lighter than 11% . Big bitterness, good stone fruit character. Slight warming in the tummy on the first few sips. Fairly straightforward but lots of potential to screw this up and they nailed it. If you like 11% beers and count me out as a person who does, you’ll love this. Slightly warming finish. Tap at Ape. Big nose of citrus, stone fruit, biscuity malt. Heavy and a bit oily but not syrupy, not overly sweet or boozy. Nice hops with a lovely, prickly, spicy finish. Good but I am kind of worn out by this style.

Tap at Takumiya. Reddish orange color, clear. Nose is orange, grapefruit, and some interesting spice. Nicely fruity and spicy flavor, herbal, noble. Fun hop.
