Tap at Komachi. Mineral nose, lemon, orange, spicy and crackery malt. Sweetish flavor, juicy, orange and lemon, minerals, crackers. Decent, but a bit light in body and the hops lack impact.

Tap at Komachi. Orange juice, pineapple, crackers in the nose. Hazy deep golden color. Juicy, peppery, sweet with nice acidity from the hops. A bit on the sweet side, but none of the floury notes that I hate in a NE. Good.

Last beer at Komachi as they will be merging with the empty building next door. Shonan Sticky Fingaz NEIPA 800¥ a half pint! One beer on the menu is 1300¥ a half! If I’d known I’d’ve gotten something else. Hazy light gold with a juicy citrus aroma. The taste is orange tang then juicy citrus zest. It’s alright but prices inJapan are going too high in my opinion.

Bottle share @ Hansen's, thank you Tim (M) for this! Hazy amber pour with not that much foam actually there. Sweet bourbon caramel nose, light sweetness and some nutty toast with a bit of extra bitterness. Tastes sweet and caramelly, bit of booze and light caramel candy. Boozy but in a good and mellow way. Yum yum.

Draft at Tsuki to Taiyo, Sapporo, Japan. Pours brilliant brown, with moderate carbonation. Aroma is definitely coffee. Body is average, like carbonation. Would have appreciated a little more body or less carbonation. Taste is moderate in both sweetness and bitterness (from roasted malts). Finish is fairly long and roasty.

deep golden color. Somewhat sweet malty nose with rhubarb and citrus notes. Medium full body, malt forward with decently aggressive bitterness. Lots of citrus notes. A bit old school. It’s well made and enjoyable but not mind blowing

Tap @ CBM Kanda. Amber, clear and with a bit of foam on top. Malty sweet nose, somewhat fruity, ripe kiwi and something else tropical. Taste has sweet malty base, caramel, hoppy still, herbal grassy bitterness. Hop marmalade and thick malty background, tasty in an old and kind of a rough way.

Very pale golden color. Fairly tart, fruity and dry nose. The amanatsu (type of summer orange) is perfectly integrated and provides just The right amount of tartness. Very well balanced. Very nice
