Description
Our beer is and will always be clean and consistent with a strong focus on balance. We feel our four flagship offerings best represent Pollyanna and take pride in their year-round availability (we package everything in cans and bottles). We're constantly experimenting with local fruits and spices, seasonal lagers, barrel-aging, wild yeast, and bacteria. In our intimate and truly unique taprooms, we offer tasting flights, draft pours, and to-go 64oz growlers, 32oz howlers, or 32oz crowler cans. Our Lemont location offers a scenic look at the brewery, our Roselle location offers a wide array of wood barrels, Italian Foudres, and a smaller brewhouse for unique one-off offerings, and our St Charles location offers our largest taproom and a beautiful view of the Fox River. Keep an eye out for a constant rotation of special firkins and taproom only offerings at each location.

Draft at the new Orange & Brew store and tap in Downers Grove. Big rich chocolate cookie smell even in my 5 oz. glass. Rich malty nose, and a decent froth of brown head. The taste seems quite strong for a beer that's mostly normal in abv. Malts are very rich and smooth, with no roastiness. I mostly pick up the chocolate and vanilla, s they are the strongest components. Gret example of a pastry stout.

Can. Pours a clear light gold with visible carbonation and a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma is full of juicy sweet mango with sweet wheat notes supporting. Flavor has sweet wheat with a growing sweet mango and just a hint of tartness in the finish.

Bottle with a seemingly random code on the bottom, drunk on 11/28/18.
Rich mahogany with a tan head falling quickly to cover. Not opaque.
Smells rich and sweet but clean and not chalk full of lactic character. Definitely on the snickers wavelength. Smells nutty and caramel-forward with no alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth there's clove?? with peanut, marshmallow and light coffee. Very light, watery and sugary. Definitely not living up to the aroma here. Peanut and fudge with not much acidity to balance. Clove-cinnamon-spice finish is bizarre. Cracker, biscuit and stale bread linger. But no alcohol.

16 ounce can at Marriott in Downers Grove, Illinois. Medium gold pour. Large bubbly beige head. Fragrant citrus hop nose. Notes of dank citrus and pine. First sip brings bittersweet hops and toasted malt. Notes of bitter grapefruit ab cracked peppercorns. Sharp and distinctive with resinous notes. At 85 IBU's this is a hop lovers nirvana. Long dry bitter finish.

One of the benefits of traveling is the possibility of coming across a really different brew. It happened to me last week on a trip last week to Chicago to see the Cubs play. I visited a liquor store in the River North area and found Orenda Volume 2 in a 22 oz bottle to bring home. A quadrupel and barrel aged too? Hell yes. No knowledge about the beer or the brewery so let’s give it a go now. I lift the lid and tilt into my Chimay glass, a nice caramel brown body with a thin light tan head that promptly departs. A smell gives cane sugar, grain, some yeastiness. Then a drink, oh my, pretty fine. Figs, toffee, lots of malt, dark raisin, a touch of the wine barrels. Slightly bitter finishing. I am impressed when American brewers can produce a credible Belgian style. Certainly the case here. The shame is the likelihood of never seeing this beer again. By the way, Cubs got the W, good trip.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo. Thanks Alex! Pours a deep brown with a small bit of beige head that dissipates quickly. Big maple syrup forward nose with some milk chocolate bar notes as it warms. All maple syrup on the palate, body is slightly thin. Smooth and decadent flavor. Good flavor for the ABV. Really enjoyable and punches up a weight class.
