Description

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep hazed purple, good frothy off-white / pale crimson head. Interesting fruity nose, sour impressions, yeast and delicate red berry. Taste is super sharp, great prickly clarity with berry stork and pips, good sour tang with distant dark roast providing woody roasty murmurs on the finish. Excellent complex sour with impressive depths of flavours for those willing to take their time with this beer. A great introduction to this brewery.

22/23-11-19 // taster at 5. Mainzer CraftBeerMesse. Wow wow. Well done! Another banger from Flügge. A lovely composition of jammy tart raspberry aromas and a thick voluminous but quite light bodied. Lots of bitter chocolate. Coffee. Awesome.

15/XI/19 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 22/XI/19, bottled: 22/V/19 - (2019-1826)
Pretty clear orange beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: infected, overripe fruits, some banana, rotting oranges, funky, cat piss, doesn’t smell too promising. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very soapy start, unpleasant bitterness, some grapefruit. Aftertaste: more soapy bitterness, is this supposed to be a brett ipa? It’s not a very good beer, I didn’t like it at all, totally unlike the Anni beer which was great!
Paired with garlic butter grilled lobster, but didn't work together well. It paire much better with the Anni beer.

Pretty cloudy pale yellowish beer, big creamy soapy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of citrus notes, some tropical fruits, sweetish impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sourish, nice bitterness, little malty, citrus notes, bit herbal, nice one! Aftertaste: some tangerines, tropical fruits, pretty hoppy, grassy, little resinous, slightly chemical maybe, nice beer overall!
Paired very nicely with garlic butter grilled lobster!
