Bottle: A vigorous pour left a small, but creamy brown head atop a very dark brown body. Aroma is sweet with chocolate and light in roast. More bitterness in the flavor than expected... the florals really cut into the chocolate taste rather than compliment it. Retains a fair amount of roastiness and adds some ash (yes, ash not ass). Not bad at all, but I feel like ’chocolate stout’ was false advertising.

Amber color. Starts with a thick heads that fades quickly. Well carbonated. Light to moderate malt flavors. No smoke aroma, but there is some in the flavor. Unfortunately, it is too light. So while this doesn’t taste bad, what flavor it has is not enough.

On tap at the Oldsmar Tap House pouring up deep mahogany with ruby edges and tan head. The aroma is mild and emits dark fruitiness like cherries as well as a touch of medicinal booze. The taste is pretty darn rich with cherry, plums and prune dark fruitiness. Then midway and into the finish I get mild roasted malts and some malt sweetness and caramel joining the show.
