Pour is a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is is some caramel malt with a bit of dark fruit and alcohol. Flavor is dry biscuit malts with a bit more of the caramel malts toward the end. Alcohol is better hidden in the flavor than the aroma. Not the best of this style that i’ve had but it has enough to make it enjoyable.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Pours a clear reddish brown with a beige head. Hard roasted malt in the nose and a little coffee. Medium body, hard roasted malt and notes of bitter dark chocolate. There’s a vague underlying sweetness but the bitterness in the finish appears to be from the malt. 230410

Tasting at Papsø
Black color; nice creamy head and lace. Mild, chocolatey aroma, a bit dusty. Strong body, strong chocolate and dark caramel flavor, enough residual sweetness; strong bitterness, with more roasted malt in the end, warm alcohol feeling, but overall well balanced. Pleasant.
