Fresh lemon-citic hop nose with some grassy resins. Flavor is more interesting, a citrus hop with honeyed bready malts, fairly balanced but there’s some good bitterness at the finish. Hazy copper color, good foamy head and heavy lacing.

Pours clear copper color with light tan head. Roasted malt aroma with light smokiness. Not a really smokey beer but it does have a nice subtle smokiness to it. Medim body with average carbonation. A little more smokiness would be nice.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-brown color with a huge orange-tan head. The aroma was toasty cocoa with a fruity presence and a touch of licorice. The flavor was bitter and fruity with notes of cocoa, toast, anise and bourbon. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of beech wood smoke, as well as medium notes of caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes beech wood smoke, alcohol, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry alcoholic and smokey finish. A bit too much alcohol. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
