330ml bottle, take-out from Deva Tap, Chester. Pours black, thin off-white head. Aroma of light caramel, roast. Fair carbonation, with subtle simmering roast, dark malts, moderately light body, generally clean and crisp. Quite a good example of the style. This style really should be made more.

Bottle courtesy of Geraint and Helen (cheers you two!)consumed at home whilst cooking Conchiglioni with Salmon and Dill and a Pannatonne Bread and Butter Pudding for dessert. Pours black with a beige head, looks good. Perhaps I’ve served this a tad too cold, however you can still pick out some roasty notes and a little tangerine. A little roasty a touch of cocoa dusting, citrussyness, it’s good. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4
