Description
PROGRESSIVELY OLD SCHOOL
We make craft beer with a throwback approach. Through a combination of time-tested brewing/blending methods and modern practices, we create beer that is complex, thought-provoking, and above all delicious.

AN ALE PROJECT
We focus on truly slow beer – mainly Farmhouse Ales and Saisons in our wild brewery and lagers on our clean production side – with a passion for experimenting with other wild and traditional styles from Imperial Stouts to IPAs to Dutch Kuits.

ROOTED IN FAMILY
The name Birds Fly South is a nod to founders Lindsay and Shawn Johnson. For the last 22+ years, they lived the Coast Guard life, migrating across the country. Their family, their flock, was always looking to find their back to the south. Once they landed in Greenville, Shawn’s final station, they knew they had found home.

Can shared a Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clearish gold with a pillowy white head that dissipates quickly. Lots of citrus and dank notes in the nose, some pineapple and peach notes as well. Clean and crisp. Good dankness lingers on the palate with some medium bitterness. Crushable.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Citrusy nose with bright tangerine and peach aromas. Tart on the palate with good fruit flavors. Dry finish with more fruit notes. Lingering tartness. Nice drop.

Great combination of sour and guava flavors. Sweet guava balances the sour ale taste.

Excellent pumpkin beer, different from most others on the market in the fall because of the sour style. Pumpkin spiced add a nice balance to the sourness.

A solid sour Flander's style with a wine barrel taste. One of the better Flander's style beers I have tasted.
