2012 bottle. Dark mahogany-brown pour with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Roast malt, fruit, caramel and hops in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of chocolate malt, earthy hops, caramel and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle from the TJ's in Davis, CA. Pours close to perry color with a transient white very slight head. Aroma seems nutmeg and clove. Not med body. Flavor is excessively clove - hides the nutmeg mostly. It's a lot like that old Clove chewing gum in intensity. Over done.

12 oz bottle purchased at the Trader Joe’s in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is a copper ruby golden with a small head initially, falling to nothing quickly. The aroma is soft caramel, a bit of floral and then some dirtiness. The taste is the malt, a bit metallic with the caramel sweet and finishes with floral and some mineral. The palate is light bodied with softer carbonation and a metallic mineral finish. Easy enough to drink.

Quarantine Beer #117 sampled at home on 05/07/2020. Dark brown with some mahogany around the edges, and a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Yeast, fruit and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of Belgian yeast, caramel malt and dark fruit. The finish is fruity yeast and sweet malt. Pretty good overall.

Very crisp and clear deep amber, copper and bronze coloured body, all without any haze and a nice two to three centimetre tall off-white and tan head that fades fairly quickly, at least for a lambic. Aroma of tart raspberries, dry oak, a good deal of drying but smooth yeasts with a light note of the spontaneously fermenting qualities and a more pronounced bit of the dryness and oak scents without any alcohol noticeable and not too much sweetness - much more tart scents coming from the fruits than sweet. Light to Medium-bodied; Very elegant dry and noticeable malt component hits while presenting the very smooth and succinct fruit flavours that have tart raspberries that bring in a nice balance and complexity that the yeast and malt notes don't really show, but finish with a very subdued sweetness, all from the fructose with some effervescence and a robust character from the smooth set of flavours coming together all at the end. Overall, a nice, very elegant, polished beer that isn't too sweet, not to tart, not deep, but very nuanced in a good way that is still complex and enjoayble throughout. I sampled this 75 cL, corked and caged bottle, purchased from Trader Joe's in Falls Church, Virginia on 04-September-2017 in Bailey's Crossroads for US$8,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 04-September-2020, exactly three years after purchase.

Consumed many times, most recently June 2020. Still holding up well but showing some age.

Had to laugh when my wife brought this back from Buffalo. Despite what's listed here, this is clearly marked brewed by Unibroue. It's funny how Unibroue, part of a large macrobrewery corporation, is much less present in Ontario, just one province over, than just about everywhere else. But I love their brews let's see how this one is. Pours cloudy hay-gold with a finger of sudsy off-white head. Taste is good. Moderately sweet bready malt, a touch of booze (odd for the lower %) banana esters, a little pepper. It's excellent. Unibroue does their Belgians well, and this is no exception. I'd get more, except for that whole closed boarder thingy...
