…we realized no one was doing it in Romania and we thought: What if we make a brewery?” – Alin Matache, owner Ground Zero.
With an initial investment of about 100.000 euro won at poker and after many attempts to find the best recipes and the “fight” to obtain all authorizations, Alin and Razvan opened the craft beer studio Ground Zero Beer on 1st of April 2015 in Baneasa, Bucharest.

Minimal beige head left a cover on a light brown still body - strange colour for a NEIPA! Confectionery & Tropical fruits aroma. Medium bodied, soft & low carbonation. Mango, Tropical fruits, melon & confectionery tastes.

Tap at Frisches Bier. Cloudy yellow, off-white foam. Light grain sour and bitter orange aroma. Medium body, mellow. Mealy grain base, bitter orange, leafy notes, some olive oil. A bit off.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks zvsn. Slightly hazy golden. Tropical fruity hops, buttery diacetyl, sweetish, short bitter finish, medium-bodied. OK. Could've been better without the diacetyl.

Tap. Tropical fruit peel nose. Medium light body, fresh, nice passion fruit. Good balance, great example of the style.

Tap at muc CBO. Dry cheesy umami nose. Cloudy Grey yellow, offwhite low head. Medium light body. Cheese cracker, dry, grass, melon, slightly off.
Cloudy pastel yellow, white head. The aroma is a bit watery, some tropical notes, fruit flavoured tea bags, aspirin / mineral. Quite thin - both the aroma and flavour. Mild fruit and hop juice, really low on flavour. Light pithy zesty bitterness. Yep, not bad, but way more session than imperial. In fact, not imperial in any way

Hazy golden, white head. Orange pulp, almost no resins. Smooth, but too bland. A rather generic though not and hoppy malty balance, really low bitterness. Ok. Might have a really light funky sour note.

500ml bottle thanks to djoeye for sharing. Snow white head that laced quite well. A wheat haze to a straw-coloured body. Modest wheat fruity aromas. Mid-sweet orange, pears. and peaches to the taste character on a backbone of wheat. Fruity sweetness to the ending. Accepted. (Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 03.08.2019).
