12/12/2020. Bottle sample courtesy of saxo/fonefan. Pours dark purple to black with minimal head. Aroma of chocolate, rum, roasted malt, toffee, dried fruits, spiced cake. Medium sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Enjoyed this the most of the six Oriel's tried today, but the Jack Daniels version's still the best for me.

12/12/2020. Bottle sample courtesy of saxo/fonefan. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry, roasted malt, vanilla and dried fruit. Didn't get the almond, which for me was no bad thing. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, touch of tart. Medium to full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Gentle warming finish. Quite enjoyed it.

Aroma of dried fruits, roasted malt, wood, chocolate, toffee, molasses, coffee, gentle spices and mulled red wine notes. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rich warming finish. Good stuff.

12/12/2020. Bottle sample courtesy of saxo/fonefan. Pours hazy copper amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of toffee, yeast, sweet malt, fruit, biscuit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily/sticky texture, bit above average carbonation. A little harsh alcohol burn to finish. I do like this breweries beers, but less so this one.

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, wood, belgian yeast, abt yeast, dark fruit, dark malt, barrel - vanilla, light coffee - chocolate, light spicy - nutmeg.
