Bottle. Shared by the brewer, thanks man. A lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is on the fruity side, with banana, lemon and some orange hints. Yeast hints and pale malts. It’s quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Banana, lemon peel, some pale malts and yeast and a peppery touch in the flavor. Long finish. Quite nice this one, easy drinkable and quenching. 151114

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, fruity, pepper and citrus. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long citrus, yeasty, pepper and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A deep amber colored beer, lightly hazy, and with a dense, beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is a bit alcoholic, with dried fruits, toffee, pine cones, grass and a faint acetone hint. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with flavors of caramel and toffee, dried fruits like raisins and prunes and a nice bitterness. Lasting finish. A nice one, but I guess it will improve by cellaring. 151114

Small beige head. Opaque black body. Roasty earthy lingonberry aroma with fruity vinegary notes. Dry-acidic fruity earthy spicy taste with lingonberry and chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-acidic earthy fruity perfumy aftertaste with lingonberry notes. Nice, drinkable, and unusual. Is the light acidity intentional? Hard to say, but it’s not really in the way. Very nice beer. (0.5l bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger.)

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Langnes. Drukket i Skibotn 13 Aug 15. Kullsort. Lysebrunt skum som daler raskt og samler seg langs glasset. Veldig forsiktig sjokoladearoma. Smaken søt sjokolade. Masse bunnfall.

Fra kran på Haand Ølfestival 29 Mai 15. Delt med Rune. Dyp brunsvart. Lavt skum m/ farge. Aroma av mørk frukt & krydder. Smaken sukkertøy med innslag av røstet malt. Svakt sur-søt ettersmak. Øl med skikkelig julepreg. Beste juleølet så langt i år!
