Tap Out 3 Times Beer#4. Visiting three new Taps today and Wishbone is the second, and chose this not quite black stout first. Although it's a hot day the Tap warehouse is cool, which suits this quite hoppy dark malty brew better than in the sun. Not high on regular stout character, it's nevertheless a full-bodied smoothish crafted cask ale, with flavour to it.

Tap Out 3 Times Beer#5. Visiting three new Taps today and this is my second at the second - Wishbone, and this is a near black and crisp dark lager. Some light carbonation is involved but a dark malty aroma is enhanced by a favourable flavoursome sweetness in a similar taste.

Sixth and last afterthought of the Skipton Beer Festival this year, I've reached my limit here. Not a bad one to finish with, a golden-blonde session style. It's hoppy, easy enough drinking, smart, quite regular in sesh terms.

2026 Skipton Beer Festival #8. Mildly hazy, first and probably my only keg pour of the festival. It's crisp in the sun for it, despite a full-bodied strength. There's some fruitiness of the tropical, but mild in terms of taste. Enjoying the crispness is probably more why you'd order this one, although given it's a special it might not get too widely available.

Drinking this hazy light golden brew above the A646, which flows well through the valley unless there's temporary traffic lights! This one flows well down the palate. A session keg beer in this instance, it's slightly dirtier citrus fruity in both aroma and taste, but appealing enough.

Opaque cola brown. Thick foamy beige head. Aroma has cofee and liqourice over chewy bready malts. Flavourwise it's similar - espresso and liqourice with an added sour edge. Light-medium bodied. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Slick. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Cask at Hope & Vine. Slightly Hazy-opaque gols. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma has light sour citrus over malts. Flavourwise it has spur citrus over chewy malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Boring but to be fair it slipped down.

Blacksmiths', known as Anvil Priests performed the weddings for elopers to Gretna Green. I now pronounce this as a smooth tasting black brew, its roasted character gets best in aroma, some develops in aftertaste, blander going down the palate though. Found at the Lucky Duck in Rochdale.

Bradford CAMRA Beer Festival 2026, Beer#33. First keg pour of the festival, a crisp pale clear golden beer. A pale ale in style, it's hoppy in character after its crispness.

Bradford CAMRA Beer Festival 2026, Beer#1. Hazy yellow-gold in appearance. Strongish tropical fruity effort, a lot of hop too.
