Description
Independently-owned craft brewery providing North Carolina with quality beers since 1994.

Beginning in 1994 with a 7 barrel converted dairy system, we set and accomplished the goal of providing unique traditional ales & lagers available through OHB. Quickly we outgrew that system.

In 1997, we began the renovation of an 1880 Historic Landmark building, which now houses our brewing facilities, a 25-barrel Price Schonstrom brew house.

Solid body, heavy roast and dark fruits, some licorice with a massive bitterness from both malts and hops. Fairly straight hard roast Impy - a little rough perhaps. 180311

Dark brown-black. Really nice resiny citrus hop aromatics, light roastiness in the malts but otherwise they don’t do much.
