Description
We, Sharp’s Brewery, are a modern brewer of cask and bottled beer based in Rock, Cornwall, and owner of the UK’s number one cask and bottled beer, Doom Bar. We’ve grown rapidly to become the largest brewer of cask beer in the South West.
Sharp's Brewery was founded in 1994 by Bill Sharp. The brewery has been through three phases – from a small micro brewery, to a larger facility within the same building and finally to the current phase that has seen the Brewery extend its premises to accommodate more vessels and increase its brewing capacity. Since 2011, the brewery has been owned by Molson Coors.

Cask at the Beer House, Paddington, Thursday 26th February 2026 after a short trip from Brussel on the Eurostar this morning. Pours clear gold with a slim white head, light sweetness, fruity with a slight leaning towards citrus, a little bit thin, could be a bit crisper but okay. Score 6.6

Cask at the Beer House, Paddington on 30th January 2026. Crystal clear golden amber with shallow, yet lasting, whitish foam and full lacing. Malty aroma with fruitiness. Citrus peel, pithy fruits and hints of grasses in-mouth. A hoppy finish with some caramel malt remaining. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Tasty beer. Not particularly Belgium but good nonetheless. Well balanced malt, hops and alcohol and just great to drink.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury's, London, England. Pours a clear bronze color with a khaki head and good retention. Good lacing too. Light bitters aroma. As expected, faint caramel flavor with some light bitters in the finish. Fairly mellow overall. Easy drinking. Smooth and clean. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Low, soft bitterness.

Taster from Dad's bottle at Nottingham Arms, Tewkesbury. Clear amber, off-white head. Aroma and taste like unfermented wort as others have described it, sort of sweet-ish yet stale malt loaf thing going on. That's it. Even Dad didn't like it and he doesn't drink much now. Worst NA beer I've had in a long time, reminds me of those from 10-20 years ago.
