Description
Founded in 2017 Three Hills Brewing is experimental at it’s core. We produce small batches, in a variety of styles, pushing boundaries to create the most interesting drinks we can for our customers to enjoy.

Our HQ is based in the countryside of Northamptonshire where we have 600l system, counter pressure canning machine, laboratory, barrel ageing program & cold store.

In 2020, we expanded into The Outpost, a new brewery with taproom on the Bermondsey beer mile.

Three Hills entered liquidation in May 2025.

Keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester. Black and opaque with a ring of tan head and very sinister lacing. Smells of sweet peanut butter, chocolate, some coconut milk and vanilla. Sweet taste with just a touch of bitterness in the finish. So many imperial stouts are intensely bitter. This one is sweet, well-balanced and user-friendly. Gorgeous beer.

Keg at BrewDog Leicester. Black and flat. Opaque. Caramel, tar, vanilla, and a little bit of black grape in the aroma. Taste is big and boozy, with the ethereal savoury note of the tonka bean floating around the tongue before the earthy hop bitterness takes hold. Salmiakki, black raspberry and salted caramel in the aftertaste. Soft carbonation, gloopy body. Amazing.

Taste comprises orange wine gums, skunky licks, grass, toasted malts, peach, tangerine, melon, juicy citricana. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with grassy to lightly dankened hop bitterness Solid hop shizzle for the meagre ABV.

Can taken away from the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester, drunk at home. Light golden and murky with a tiny floating bit of white head. Grassy, boozy aroma with some grapefruit and apricot. Smells pretty harsh, but the taste is far more mellow. Sweet, creamy and nicely balanced with bitter hop oil dancing on the tongue rather than coating it. Oily body with soft to medium carbonation. Nice.
