Can at home, picked up from an online peddler whom I can't recall (HOTM?), 25/05/24. Clear golden with a good sized clean looking white head that stays for the show ... for folks who can't comprehend or bring themselves to give a 5 for appearance ... this is it! Nose is pale malts, grass, toasted grains, light herb, trace of Noble hop, subtle fruit esters. Taste comprises pale and bready malts, hedgerow, herb, fruit esters, grass, fresh bread, straw. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Solid crushable logger-bier.

Can 44 cl. Pours amber with a slight haze and a neat, off-white head. Nose is mostly caramelly with faint, spicy hops. Medium body, lowish carbonation. Incredibly herbal and medicinal flavors with tons of phenols and a somewhat bitter finish. 090524

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Deep golden with a faint haze and a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of hedgerow and nutty malt. Flavour of earth and spicy hops. Medium body with a rich, slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. A typically excellent lager from Utopian.

440ml can from Hops & Crafts, quaffed following a ride at Stiperstones with Soph. Pours a very dark brown - lets say black for argument's sake. Large off-white head. Aroma brings soft roast, some chocolate. Flavour profile delivers prominent roasted malt with an appealing sweetness the melds chocolate and dark caramel, lingering bitter finish. Really nicely done.

On tap at Ramsgate brewery Easter Fest. 2024. Clear pale gold colour lasting white head. Hoppy flavour. Light malts. Lots of hops thrown at it. White pepper. White flowers. Noble hops. A bit too much noble hop to be honest. It's OK.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 20th March 2024. Reddish brown with shallow, yellowy white foam and full lacing. Solid malts and pungencies in aroma. Rich and intense maltiness in-mouth with nuttiness- hazelnut. Ripe fruits and mild spices harmonise beautifully with this nutty malt, an accord that continues throughout a satisfying finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture. Superb.
