Can from Candy & Liquor, Birmingham. Light hazed dark gold, tight white head. Citric and pine noted aroma with orange zest and resin. Taste of marmalade, sweet malts, pine, light hop tingle, bitter finish. Medium to full bodied, slightly chewy, fine carbonation. A really nice example of the style.

Can from Candy & Liquor, Birmingham. Mahogany with small off white head. Toasted malt aroma with nuts, berries, dusty hop. Taste is quite malty and sweet but with distinctive berry and plum notes, some caramel. Slightly bitter with hop tingle in finish but could do with more. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Good.

Can from Candy & Liquor, Birmingham. Quite a hazy gold with small white head. Very tropical aroma with mango notes, also some green hops and pillowy malts. Taste seems to reflect this, sweet, more on the underripe tropical side, citrus pith, drying moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied, slightly chewy. Slightly on the sweet resinous side and just a touch off-balance for me. Still a good beer but just a notch below Pentrich's usual standard for IPAs (I usually give between 3.8 and 4.2 for their IPA brews).

Tap into bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Murky golden amber with small white top. Orange and peach aroma with some sweet stewed fruit and herb notes. Taste of orange, apricot sweetness, pine, tropical tang, milk bottle chewy sweets, herbal notes in the finish. Moderate bitterness, medium+ bodied which results in a nice complex hoppy aftertaste with fruity and spice notes, chewy. Very good sweet fruity IPA with enough bitterness to prevent it being overdone. Pentrich always manage to get good flavours and variety from their IPAs and this is no exception.

Tap into bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Pours a murky caramel gold with off-white head. Passionfruit, malt and leafy hop aroma. Taste of pithy citrus, mango, juicy peach, leafy bitterness. For a NEIPA this is a bold punchy number, I like it.

Pours black with small beige head. some minor retention. Very malty in aroma with a meaty smoke and chocolate. Its a little lighter than expected with a zingy carbonation. Plenty of dark malt and smoke but not that meaty in the taste, slight berry hint. Slight dusty dry finish. Its nice but a touch below Pentrich's usual standard.

Draft to bottle from lowcostbeer.com. I'm used to having IPAs from Pentrich but recently had a smoked porter and now a fruit sour. Pours a murky purple colour obviously due to the blueberry but seems at odds with the name of the beer. Some pink foam on top. Fruity blueberry with the lemon sharpness and pithiness coming through as well as a touch of funk. Nice fruitiness in the taste and follows aroma in truth - fruity blueberry to start sharp lemon cuts through and combines in a rather pithy finish, moderate tartness. Very enjoyable.

Draft to bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Mine seems to be at 8.5% so more of a DIPA. Very hazy caramel gold with small white top, quite fizzy sounding but cap remains. Punchy aroma with passionfruit, orange, caramel. Taste again punchy hops with stone fruits, caramel, herbs, booze, quite bitter. Medium to full bodied, slightly chewy but not overbearing. Its certainly bold. A warming winter medicine. It grew on me with each sip.

Draft in a bottle. Hazy orange with small white top. Aroma of deep tropical fruits, lots of passionfruit, grapefruit, pineapple, some malt, spice; very inviting. Taste has a juicy pineapple, grapefruit, orange with an edgy pine, spice and green dankness. Medium bodied. Excellent.

Draft into bottle from lowcostbeer. Pours a murky caramel with a small white top but lots of lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, tropical fruit ice lollies, green hop notes. Taste of grapefruit, orange rind, pine, caramel, bitter and tingly, boozy going down. Smooth full body with a soft fine carbonation. Lovely warming winter IPA drank in spring.
