Keg draught at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light yellow gold and hazy with an uneven white head. Aroma is too burdened with hops, a bit onions, but there's some lovely apricot and melon behind it. Sweet, strong and boozy taste, light bitterness toward the finish. A good Wight to the body with carbonation on the heavy side. Flawed but worth trying.

Cask gravity at New Inn Canterbury. Clear gold colour lasting white head. A light floral golden ale. Not much malt. Some floral to perfumed hop light bitterness on the finish. OK. Very light but good hop flavour

Cask at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with minimal ff-white head and good lacing. Hints of citrus and grapefruit in the aroma – but not much else. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with a little underlying sharpness and a creamy texture. Flavour has floral hops, blood oranges, juicy mandarin and some tropical fruits. A little bitterness comes through later and lasts into the finish. This is reasonable.

Cask at White Hart Tap, St Albans, Herts. A hazy golden orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, lemon, grapefruit aroma & taste. Slight bitterness, it's fine.

440ml can. Jet black colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Quite artificial, sweet-ish, nutty, slightly spicy, dark malty aroma, notes of hazelnut and vanilla, flavoured coffee. Taste is sweet, artificial, dark malty, artificially spicy and nutty, biiter roasty with a touch of burnt coffee, hints of vanilla, a touch of hazelnut, strawberry.
Viscous texture, smooth and soft, creamy, cloying palate, fine, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Nice mouthfeel, totally artificial - total scrap, a complete disappointment.
