Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt, sweet licorice, dark fruit. Cask@GWBCF 2011. Deep ambery black colour with not too much head. Aroma is wood, some dark dry fruits, mild liquorice, some toffee as well as vanilla. Flavour is quite much the same in a pleasant balance.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 1/11/10. Dark brown with a slight tan head. A fairly light bodied stout with some milk chocolate, plenty of roasted malts and dry finish. Good.
