Cask at Ealing beer festival 2011. An amber/copper coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, fruity, malty and quite delicious. An excellent session ale which I will look out for again.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Poured bright copper with a ring of cream head; earthy malt aroma; tastes like liquified fruit cake, with rich fruity malts and some vinous raisins and cherries; the finish is lightly bitter. An excellent bitter - I’m impressed with this brewery.

Cask at the Plough and Harrow (JDW), Hammersmith. Poured reddish amber with a dense cream head; some pine resin to the aroma; smooth creamy texture, with some sharply bitter pine and grapefruit to start then a fuller, sweeter, fruity flavour developing; the finish is dry and well-hopped without being over the top. Well balanced.

Cask handpull at Reading BF 2010. Gold/copper colour slight haze, lasting off white head. Aroma of dry hopping, good hop flavours. Very green hop, bit watery in mouth. Doesn’t back up the very big hop. Shame as this could be good. Great hops though.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 15th November 2009. Dark ruby, tan head of foam. Caramel malt with an alcoholic taste if drunk too fast. The patient drinker is rewarded with a delayed, but dryish bitter sweet finish. Mouthfeel somewhat creamy. A nice pint to sup at the fireside when there’s 2ft of snow on the ground outside.
