Keg at Elusive. Aroma has shy stone fruit. Hazy pale gold. Foamy white head. Light-medium bitter with a gentle fruity sour edge. Light bodied. Thin. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry finish. Nice if unimposing.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal cream head. Plenty of coffee in the aroma (though it takes a while to come through). In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with dollops of milky coffee and roasted malts, plus some hints of blakcurrant. Finish has more fruitiness than coffee. This is a pretty good stout – simple, but done very well.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours almost black with a small cream head. Salted peanuts are the mainstay of the aroma, plus roasted malts and vanilla. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with chocolate the main flavour, plus some oats and maltiness. After a while cxaramel and toffee start to come thorugh. Finish is slightly bitter. This is very nice indeed, and not too salty.
