Keg at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Lightish gold, a little bit of haze, a big tight off-white head. Vegetal aroma. Some weed, some dank hop. Taste is a little bit of sweetness, followed by a hop bitterness. Grassy notes, some lime. Thick body, soft carbonation. Not quite convinced by this one even as my face goes slack.

Can. Color: Black, very thin brown head. Aroma: Sweetish, fruity Rum, roasted malt, boozy hints. Taste: Full body, low carbonation, mix of roasted malt, boozy notes, fruity Rum, some vanilla, hints of coffee. Warming mouthfeel. Medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Long lasting finish. Nice slow sipper.

Can. Color: Very dark brown, going towards black. Light brown head. Aroma: Smoke, dark dried fruit, sweetish. Taste: Subtle smoke, malty, fruity dark dried fruits and cherries, wood, some vanilla. Dry-ish and bittery finish. Full body, below average carbonation. Boozy hints. Medium sweetness, moderate going to over moderate bitterness. Nice one.

Jet black with a dirty tan lacing around the glass. Loads of coconut on the nose with a syrupy plastic aroma, hint of chocolate and pistachio. Taste is much the same. Big boozy finish. Disappointing but really not balanced and really syrupy coconut.
