Description
The brewery is still a small family run operation and currently employs over 20 people. The business was set up by Shane and Alison Parr, with lots of help from Iain and Anne Reid (Alison’s parents) and Innes Reid (Alison’s brother), but we survive and thrive on the great crew we have working with us.
Our brewing plant capacity has been upgraded over the years and now is now 100 brewer’s barrels (28,800 pints) per week, which allows us to meet demand during peak periods. In 2013 we constructed a purpose built, energy efficient brew house, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our environmental impact by saving water and energy.

Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine just entitled 'Elevate Cider'. Taste is sweet and tangy apple juice, reasonable fruitiness, light wood and barnyard - sweet but not artificial. Finish is sweet but there is some bitterness to counterbalance. A touch basic but well made and tasty.

Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine. Clear gold, small white head. Aroma is of light toasted grains with hoppy notes of gooseberry and citrus zest. Taste is quite grainy with citrus notes, flora, some softer fruit, dry astringency and light bitterness in the finish. Its fine but fairly average.

Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine. Pours black, some faint ruby red showing in the light. Thin beige head. Nice roasty aroma with big coffee notes. Taste is the same with some of the vanilla essence helping to give sweetness without tasting artificial. Quite dry with a lightness of body to counterbalance. Good.

Bottle from Chester Beer and Wine. Clear gold with small white head, nice retention. Aroma of light malt, orange and tropical fruit notes. Taste is quite hoppy with citrus and mango, some resin, grain, moderate bitter finish with a touch of spice. Light bodied, tasty and refreshing. One of the better session IPAs from a traditional style brewery.
