Pours amber from the bottle. Aroma is caramel, light toast, but in fairness the smell was overwhelmed by the chlorine from the hot tub. Taste is mildly sweet up front with a mild bitterness at the finish. Body is medium. Overall rather dull.

Pours amber from the bottle with a frothy, off white head. Aroma is strongly of pecan. Mild notes of hazelnut and fresh cream. Taste is sweet, lots of pecan, touch of spice. Not complex at all, but still nice.

Pours gold from the bottle. The white fizzy head fades fast. Aroma has a soft malty base with noticeable chili. Taste is very sweet, with a strong chili inflection. Finishes sweet and spicy. Feels contrived, and lacks all nuance. Quickly wears out its welcome.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, loads of dark sweet fruits, vanilla chocolate, light coffee and molasses, alcohol warmth, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of vanilla, dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, light coffee grind, musty character, very nice and silky.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Hazy brown beer, few pale tan bubbles. Light palate, mildly dry, just modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts bring a whisper of chocolate. Mild esters. Little dark fruits. It’s fine.
