355ml can. Pours a hazy gold yellow with yeast particles that sink to the bottom and a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, papaya and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, tangerine, grapefruit, guava, pineapple, honeydew, peach, earthy yeast and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and delicious.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some strong cherry notes and light vinous notes are also perceptible. Taste is a mix of chocolate and cherry with some vinous notes with some oak presence also detectable. Body is average with good carbonation. Interesting mix of cherry and chocolate but not sure it is something I would have on a regular basis.

375ml (thx, Peter K.!) @ Matt's new place. Appearance: rose ish golden with a white head. Aroma: funky, buggy, grapy. Taste: along the same lines, almost no acidity in here (surprise! first time in my life I would like to get more acidity in my beer!). Quite a tannic finish. It's very interesting that it has a quite nice lambic funk in the early and middle finish that lasts for 1-2 minutes after you swallow the beer. Overall: a real nice one.

Bottle August 2020. 375mL bottle, pours a hazy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out red grape skins, some bugs, and a touch of oak. Flavour reveals crisp grape skins, wild yeast, and oak. Dry, buggy, vinous, and cohesive. Excellent.

(375ml bottle from the brewery) Pours fairly dark purplish red with a tiny whitish ring and no lace. Aroma is deep cooked dark raspberries, plummy merlot, nice round herbal red wine quality, soft to moderate dusty cellar funk, a little wood. Flavour is a mix of deep black raspberry flesh and a mix of deeper and brighter red fruit red wines, moderate tannin, a little herbal edge, rich earthy quality mid sip on, some leathery Brett, with wood prominent into the finish, tannins are moderate, a little raspberry pop, good minerality. Medium-bodied, light fine fizzing bottle conditioned carb. The fruit addition makes this one of the least wine-like Burdock wine hybrids, but the bar is such that it is still an extremely wine-like beer. Complex and drinkable.
