Description
Burdock brewery set up shop in what used to be an old Portuguese chicken restaurant, and they transformed the space into an artist-driven bar/restaurant/music hall/microbrewery run by a group of musicians and music lovers. They offer a rotating list of clean pale ales, complex saisons, crisp pilsners, zippy sours, and beer-wine hybrids that are all brewed in house.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours a hazy blonde with a tiny white head with some chunks. Flavour is neutral, with light oak, and a touch of rustic saison yeast. Flavour is gently tart, with light oak, gentle rustic notes, and a touch of white wine. Rustic, oaky, but a bit lacking. Decent.

Can. I mean they tell me on the can to enjoy ducks and it's true. Wood ducks, widgeons, buffleheads and other fancy ducks are welcome winter visitors to these parts. Plus, I live around the corner from Wuhan Spicy Duck Neck, which sells only one product, and you can probably guess what it is. Ducks are quite the awesome creatures. This beer is opaque. The aroma has a bit of dankology, some alliesque leek notes, only a kiss of mandarin. So it smells like a Welshman smoking sketchy weed whilst drinking orange juice. The poor Welshman does not have access to the clean and bright strains we have over here. Tastes about that, too. Lowish bitterness, the malts are decent. Good things here, but maybe not as coherent as I'd prefer.
