Description
Burdock brewery set up shop in what used to be an old Portuguese chicken restaurant, and they transformed the space into an artist-driven bar/restaurant/music hall/microbrewery run by a group of musicians and music lovers. They offer a rotating list of clean pale ales, complex saisons, crisp pilsners, zippy sours, and beer-wine hybrids that are all brewed in house.

Bottle from the brewery. Burdock APA Dry-hopped with Vic Secret and Simcoe 5.2% Quite a light cloudy gold with a thick head that doesn’t last but leaves a nice film over the surface. Actually, it kind of looks like pear juice. It has a great aroma of papaya and juicy fruits. Medium bodied and dry with juicy fruits and woodsy herbal hops bitterness in the finish. Ultra drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From my wife who got it at the source: pours yellow haze with a white head. Aroma is hefty bits of citrus, maybe a flower. Taste is super smooth, dry citrus, mild afertaste. Very good and pleasant to drink. Nice juicy feel. I like it.

Wife got this at the brewery: pours slightly hazy with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, lime, lemon, and the like. Citrusy taste. This is barely a sour ale. Very pleasant and easy drinking.

Bottle, Legacy, purchased back when Burdock first arrived, not the most recent supply. Thought this was the Brett Farmhouse Saison, actually, but it's not. Slight haze. Blonde. Lots of brett, floral hops. Earthy. Moderate bitterness. Light pale malt signature. Still, balanced, quality beer.

Can, Legacy. Hazy and yellow, with a bleached white loose head. Light lacto and big fruity hops. Soft body, low carbo, fruity berryish hops, light body. Decent, enjoyable.
