Keg @ Kilder. Pours misty gold, aroma is lightly sour, some prickly herbal hop. Taste is a little odd, infected perhaps, sour off-notes, seems prickly stonefruit is involved, but on the whole not that enjoyable.

Keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Yellow and hazy with a small bit of uneven white head and considerable lacing. Light aroma bordering on the nonexistent: lemon peel, candy sugar. Sweet citrus taste with more candy sugar and a touch of smoke. Short finish, thin body and too much carbonation. Reasonably good but slightly disappointing considering the other Black Lodge beers I've had.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Maidenhead Beer Festival 27/7/2018. Hazy and deep gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet raspberry and tangerine fruits, yeasty, grainy malts, a touch of citrus hop and dryish finish. Ok.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield, I think. Fully hazy, slightly murky, deep, old gold. Slim, lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has canned peach and mango. Pungent, ripe citrus fruit. Hint of the lactose. Some sweet wheat. Taste is earthy, leafy bitter, with a fairly jarring, fruity, lactic sweetness. Medium body. A bit oily and heavy. Low carbonation. Mango sweet and earthy hop bitter to round things up. I think mango in pale ales can do one, for me.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Milkshake like, pale gold. Thick suds of white. Nose has fruity milkshake. Some peach and citrus. Touch of lactose. Taste is sweet and milky, with a well rounded, citrus bitterness. Light body. Fairly smooth. Low carbonation. Fruity bitterness to finish. A bit odd, but it went down easy.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival, July 2018. Pours misty yellow, thin white head. Noticeable sour edge, which was unexpected for a cask beer... crisp, cool refreshing with distant mango notes.

Cask at the White Hart Tap, St Albans on 17th July 2018. Hazy unfined gold with off-white foam and scant lacing. Mildly citrus in aroma and in-mouth, and a light citrus finish. Light body and mouthfeel.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. 5.2%. Pink tinged, pale copper colour. Thin and dense, lasting, white head. Nose has raspberry milkshake syrup. Some tinned fruit. Taste is sweet and pretty artificial. Flabby mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Dirty, fruity sweetness to finish. Not great.
